So February disappeared in a whirl of moving boxes and shiny rocks. I went to the Tucson Annual Gem & Mineral Show. Holy all the pretty sparklies, Batman!

Behold the sparklies I bought…

And the sparklies I wanted to buy but did not. Though they be pretty, they also be spendy! (Okay, *sheepish grin* the ring did come home with me…)
There was so much to see!

These are the captions I sent as I snapped these photos: bird art, pearls of wisdom, robots in disguise, you’d better be prepared to sell a kidney, and—my personal favorite—cock rock!
So that was the gem show in a nutshell. I had a great time with my sister (we always do). It was a whirl of Mexican food, the house of Target’s (pronounced Tar-jey’s) finest ready-made Margharitas and Cosmos, and more cheese plates than you’d believe two people could eat in seven days.
And then I got off the plane to a pile of moving boxes.

Ah, I love the smell of packing tape in the morning. More on that in my next newsletter.
XoXo,
